What if we were talking about lipstick? And more precisely if we were talking about the bourjois rouge edition velvet reviewRed Lipsticks is my great passion (with varnish ^^) so when Jessica offered me this Rouge Edition Velvet in tint “01 Nobody Red! “ I was kind of mega happy!
The brand promises a lipstick with a soft, fluid texture that glides on the lips to transform into a matt, melting and incredibly light velvety. Bourjois, also guarantees an irreproachable behavior (24 hours please) and a formula saturated with pure pigments. Ok, that’s what we’ll see during the test!!!
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Review
The lipstick is in the form of a gloss, with a soft and precise foam tip, which allows to draw the contour of the lips without overflowing, then to fill them in a uniform way.
The application is easy, the texture is fluid and not pasty, and on the other hand the drying time is quite long! Allow 10 minutes for the product to be completely dry, to take on the lips, to become dull and so that it does not move any more.
On the other hand, there is a good side, if we have a little overwhelmed, we have time to catch up and hop hop neither seen nor known 🙂
Once the material is dry (10 or 15 minutes later), a matt finish with a very nice velvet effect is obtained. Also, I have the feeling of not wearing anything on the lips and it’s really nice.
Concerning the pigmentation, it is very good to see even excellent, the product is well opaque; you cannot see the lips through. It is the kind of product with a modular finish, the more you put on it, and it will be covering (but in this case, pay attention once again to the drying time).
Regarding the outfit, it should be known very few lipsticks stand out from a meal. He holds a whole morning until lunch without any problem, but he will not resist if you eat or drink. So on the whole, yes it can be said that it has a good behavior since it holds 4 or 5 hours without moving (one is far from the 24 hours that the mark promised us).

On the other hand, when it disappears the side Velvet also fades and turns into effect colored lips (and that, I like average). The product fades to the heart of the lips and leaves the contour of the mouth drawn and very red (and that too, I do not like it too much).Otherwise, not to stay on a negative note, this is the first time a matte liquid lipstick, do not dry my lips! Thank you, Bourjois. Again, it depends on the lips and the people, but on me it is not at all drying.
Oh yes, I forgot, once the product well dry it does not transfer! This is also a positive point!
I retain 2 negative points: the drying time, and the finish “felt lips” when the product fades after a few hours.
Aside from that, it is a product that I like very much; I love the color which is a classic red very very pretty. I find the outfit of 4 or 5 hours rather good. The lipstick does not dry my mouth and in addition it applies rather easily with its ultra-precise foam tip.
In addition, you have the choice between 9 shades that I find very successful (I have already spotted 2 that make me eye).
Basically, if you’re looking for a matte-finish lipstick that does not dry out, it’s pretty good and especially if drying is not a problem, Red Velvet is for you!
