Human beings have a variety of skin types like normal, oily, dry or combination skin Care.
Normal skin usually has a healthy glowing texture with no visibly dry or oily patches of skin. A minimal amount of skin care is required to keep the skin healthy. Daily cleansing is always recommended for all types of skin. A night moisturizer is always good to ensure that the skin stays in a good condition with a healthy glow.
Oily skin is characterized by a shiny skin that usually results from the overactive sebaceous glands. Cleansers and astringents must be used from time to time to keep the oil under control.
Dry skin lacks the moisture, which is needed to keep the skin supple. In the absence of the required moisture, skin has a flaky, dry & pale look. Dry skin needs a daily moisturizer plus possibly an overnight cream to keep it in a healthy condition.
Combination skin has skin qualities from both dry and oily skin. If there is an oily area around the forehead, nose, and chin, then it is often referred as the T-zone. Rest of the skin on the face and neck can display dry qualities, which results in a combination of both the skin types.

Combination Skin Care:
Combination skin tips is, therefore, treated differently than dry or oily skin. Since combination skin has qualities of both dry and oily skin, each area of the face should be taken care in different ways.
Face should be cleansed at least twice a day with a non-oily face wash or cleansing cream. A non-abrasive astringent can be applied to the T-zone, about once a week.
The use of facial masks is recommended in your skin care. Combination skin may require the use of two different masks to adequately meet the skin’s needs.
The dry areas of the skin needs plenty of moisturizer to be applied twice a day i.e., at morning and at night and especially on the cheeks & neck.
The oily T-zone area should have a clay mask applied weekly. Just add powdered clay to hot water until it forms a consistent paste and apply the mixture gently on the oily areas of skin. The skin should feel tightness as it dries. Tightening of the pores helps to lessen the amount of oiliness on the skin. Apply this paste on the T-zone area, wait for a few minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water.
The dry areas of the skin require a moisturizing paste mask, consisting of cooked oatmeal with a teaspoonful of olive oil. Gently rub the oatmeal paste over the dry areas of the skin, wait around 5 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water.
Oily Skin Care:
Oily skin is much more prone to outbreaks. This is because of a heightened production of sebum (oil) by the sebaceous (oil producing) glands – too much sebum can cause a blockage in the duct, leading to inflammation and pimples.
Sebaceous glands are unevenly distributed. They are more concentrated on the scalp, forehead, along the nose and on the chin and less concentrated on the cheeks, neck and around the eyes. As a result, oily skin tends to be oily only in patches. The amount of oil that an individual makes is determined by his genetics.
Honey as Best Facial: The best available facial mask is honey. Use warm cotton to open the pores, smear on honey, leave it for 15 to 30 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water followed by cold water to close the pores. Initially, use it for 3 days in a row and then once in a week.
Egg Yolk: The best homemade facial mask is raw egg yolk. Just apply the raw yolk onto the face and neck, leave it for 30 minutes and rinse with normal cold water. Egg yolk contains high vitamin A. The mask is very effective in healing blemishes.
