Hi girls and boys! We meet today to talk about a Garnier makeup remover review.Beginning to run out of The Body Shop’s truly exceptional camomile make-up removal butter , I went on a quest for something new that I could review. That’s why I often do not redeem the same products twice, even though I liked them a lot.
By switching from one video to another on YouTube, I always came across the same Intro ad, that of a famous youtubeuse praising the merits of a new miraculous makeup remover!
Garnier makeup remover review
I ended up watching some magazines dedicated to the product, all hyper positive, so in good “sheep”, I left to buy it!
It seemed to fit in all respects to my expectations:
- – Large 400ml format
- – Attractive price (about 5 € I believe)
- – Removes make-up tenacious and waterproof
I really insist on the last point because using daily waterproof mascara, at this time Diorshow Iconic Overcurl , I really need a suitable makeup remover. It seems to me that this micellar biphasic is the first of its kind among all the make-up removers on the market. I have already seen two-phase and micellar waters but never the two combined before this one.
With this one we are promised cleansing, cleansing and soothing of the skin, all without rinsing. It removes all stubborn and waterproof makeup on the face, eyes and lips without leaving a greasy finish. It would be suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive ones. So much for his claims!
At the level of the bottle, it is the same as that of a micellar water lambda.Grand, practical and above all transparent to control the level of the product.
On the surface, we can see the two-phase solution of the product which is orange and below we have the transparent micellar solution.
To use it, you can imagine, you have to shake the bottle to mix the two solutions. We apply a little on a cotton and this is supposed to leave all traces of makeup.
In all honesty, from the first use, I hated! Even pressing my cotton on my eye to help dissolve the waterproof mascara, nothing to do is the total galley! I needed no less than 4 cottons to remove my makeup and again! When I woke up I still had some mascara residue!
Unfortunately for this makeup remover, this is not the only inconvenience I encountered. And that’s where I have a problem with the mention “sensitive skin, extreme tolerance”.
This makeup remover irritates my eyes. It happens sometimes that it burns them to me. Soon after the application, I find myself with the eyelids all swollen. The next morning, I find myself with crumbs all around the eyes …
On my face, the passage of this two-phase does not leave me fat finish certainly and thankfully but it leaves behind a tacky finish. I feel that my skin is not completely clean. It does not leave me skin soft and plump like with my Body Shop butter or my L’Oreal cleansing oil.
For me it is therefore essential to wash and clean his face after using the two-phase micellar.
I am extremely disappointed by this product that everyone presents on the web as a SUPER makeup remover! I’m sorry but this product does not respect any of its promises!
It is not without rinsing, it does not remove makeup waterproof and makeup, it does not soothe my skin because it makes me swell eyelids and I wonder what the ophthalmologist means when he makes me cry eyes!
The + :
- – About 5 € the 400ml
- – Good smell of fruits
The – :
- – Does not remove the waterproof
- – Irritates the eyes
- – Leaves a sticky finish on the skin
- – Odor that persists long after application
- – No less than 4 cottons needed to “cleanse” my face
Honestly, in front of so many negative points, I wondered if I was really the only one to hate this product and no, because around less I had the same very negative opinions! And it really reassured me!
You will understand, I will not finish this product, and I will even throw it.
I’m going to buy a good cleansing oil that will not waste any cotton, which will leave me a skin soft and plump and especially cleansed! Whether I wear waterproof mascara or not! This will teach me to make infidelities to my favorite makeup removers.

A nice failure for this product Garnier, so I will not try new oil, which is by far my favorite makeup remover, even with my skin mixed!
