Hello everyone!Today we talk about l’oreal voluminous butterfly mascara review. I have already tested a lot until today, bad as very good but, even conquered, I never buy the same to be able to review it! And also because you know that I like to vary the pleasures!
After finishing my Dior show Iconic Overcurl, I opened my drawer and there is the drama!!! No mascara in stock! Not even a sample … Having no coupon code at Sephora at my disposal, I went to the nearest supermarket and I opted for the Butterfly Sculpt, the last mascara from L ‘Oréal.
L’oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara Review.
I admit to having greatly hesitated with the Push Up drama of Maybelline but when you have to make a choice, you have to make a choice!
The sculpted butterfly has the same packaging style as the famous mascara million eyelashes. Even without the name of the mark affixed on the packaging I would have known that this one was an L ‘Oreal! We find the name of the mascara on a pretty blue / violet color.
The brush in plastic pimples, meanwhile, is quite unique! I let the pictures talk about themselves so much I know that my description would be too hazardous! The shape of this brush thus suggests a single direction of application because there are pins on only one side! Rather practical!
L Oréal presents it as the novelty mascara of the moment! I do not know if the phenomenon has escaped you but for 1 or 2 months, we find countless tests videos of this mascara pullulate on the canvas. We hear a lot of good but no criticism! We shall now see whether it really deserves all these praises!
I always carry out my first tests without using an eyelash curler in order to really be able to gauge 100% mascara. So I apply a first layer of the sculpted butterfly. It is true that he catches all the lashes, even the shortest ones. On the other hand I had a little difficulty to tame this new brush and once is not custom, I put black on the eyelid!
Once the burr was cleaned, I applied a second coat. The eyelashes do not get tangled, no spider legs on the horizon! They are very black and well separated. The effect is not dramatic but the look is “fleshed out” and it is very pretty. It does not lengthen my lashes much but the mascara brings them a lot of volume and curvature!
Unfortunately, I found a negative point and not least for the sensitive eyes, bearers of lenses. I feel it when I wear it … and it’s a bit embarrassing. From the second layer, my eyelashes are not cardboard but almost. They are a little “rigid” and it tires my eyelids.
- – Black mascara
- – Brush with only one direction of application
- – Plastic pimples that do not irritate the eyes
- – Easily catches all the eyelashes, even the shortest ones
- – Eyelashes well separated even after two layers
- – Very good hold
- – Pretty packaging and practical
- – Material that slightly lashes the eyelashes
- – Fatigue the eyes of the bearers of lenses
- – Long to make-up makeup (you will need a waterproof make-up remover preferably)
- – Time to adapt to handle the brush (attention to the black on the eyelid)
- – High price for a large size mascara: 17 €
As many weak points as strengths, it is rather rare and this translates concretely my very mixed opinion on this L’Oreal mascara. In spite of my eyes full of black and lashes perfectly separated, the butterfly sculpt could not make a place in my heart. It tires my eyes and I feel it on my lashes. This is crippling for my sensitive eyes.

So I remain disappointed because he had everything to please me. I will still finish it and I really think I keep this brush that works miracles! I would not buy the butterfly sculpt from L’Oréal.
