Hello girls! Today we talk about mac blot pressed powder review. I finally decided it was time to tell you! I will put my discovery in context!I have the skin with mixed tendency to oily, finally more oily than mixed unfortunately. Which includes a lot of inconveniences such as very shiny skin, pores, blackheads … In short not very pleasing all that!
When I have to decide for a dyed product, I always focus on the most matifying products possible. Unfortunately we are often disappointed, either the matifying effect is null or almost non-existent or we end up with a complexion effect “plaster” and “lifeless”…
Mac Blot Pressed Powder Review
About 5 years ago I used to use the Healthy Mix powder from Bourjois. I redeemed and redeemed it until it gradually disappeared from the great surfaces and from my Sephora. Since then I could only get it on the net, moderately additional shipping. What I loved most was its smell and its covering effect as it was not a transparent powder. Over time, my expectations have changed and her cover has ended up being no longer appropriate.I then bought the sexy Mama dyeing powder from The Balm. Completely mattifying but unfortunately too conspicuous on the skin!
You may have identified my expectations, I’m looking for SUPER matifiant but mostly natural in a transparent without material effect and it’s not easy believe me!While walking around innocently on the Mac site, I came across “Matifiante Powder” for 24 €. It is at this moment that we say to ourselves: But why not try?!And a few days later I received my order.
The packaging remains in the spirit of the brand, black and sober without frills. The case is round and solid stamped with the brand name and English name of the product: Blot Powder.Inside, there is a small, simple flat puff and a mirror. It is an easy and practical product to take with you everywhere for possible retouching. For a powder, I find it essential or quasi-mandatory that the product is nomadic.
For the hue, I say thank you to all the opinions and swatches on the net! Do not rely on names! I chose the Medium / Dark hue while, as you can see, I have no dark skin to black! So this tint corresponds better to medium beige!I apply this powder on my T zone with my Luxie Beauty powder brush and to fix my concealer, I use the hood supplied with the case.
The powder is very easy to remove; it is fine and is deposited in a transparent way on the skin. It is therefore not a product that covers or can be compared to a compact foundation. It is only a mattifying powder. The rendering is not too obvious, quite slightly but certainly I have already experienced so much worse! And most importantly it is indeed mattifying this Blot Powder!
It holds about 4 / 5h which are really satisfying for my skin type. I just have to carry it in my bag for a little retouching in the middle of the day and I’m still quiet until my makeup in the evening!I admit that I was quite mixed on its matifying effect in the first uses. I tested it in the heat wave and I confused sweat with shine … So yes this product prevents your skin from shining and hides your excess sebum but in no case it does not prevent your skin from perspiring in the face of high heat. Which is logical also because it is not his role?
So I was quickly reassured by its real matifying power when the temperatures have dropped somewhat!
My record on the Mac Blot Powder?!
It is not yet the “Grail of the Matification” but I am very satisfied. Matifiante with just a retouch in the middle of the day and a natural enough, I say yes! This product fits my expectations perfectly! I think for the price, this powder is really worth it because this kind of products is generally found for about thirty euros.
