Hello Today we talk about makeup forever mattifying primer review. You will understand, my skin and I are in a perpetual quest for mattress! It’s simple, as soon as I see writing matifying on a product, I run on it! The shine off the face amazes me! I speak of shine “oily” eh, not the brilliant glowy YouTube American complexion that breathes life!
There, all is said!So in the morning once I cleaned my face, I apply a matifying moisturizing cream, a foundation and finally my Blot pressed powder cherished by Mac that I adore in case you have not already read my review about it Thanks to this dyed routine, I manage to get out and keep a matte complexion for a few good hours! Hooray! But here I am always more and I like to discover new products!
Makeup Forever Mattifying Primer Review
A few months ago, I think that if you follow the makeup news with diligence, you surely have not missed the buzz of Make Up For Ever with the release of not one but 10 new makeup bases! Just that! The STEP primers range is designed to refine and smooth the skin and, for some, to unify the complexion. So I chose no surprise in May last year the n ° 1: the matifying base!
But then what are the promises of this primer?!
It is supposed to act on 3 key points:
- – The application of the makeup is facilitated
- – The result of the makeup is impeccable
- – The hold is prolonged
+ In the case of the n ° 1:
- – stop the unwanted shades
I have first applied my matifying moisturizing cream from Uriage, I then had my breakfast! (Yes I prefer to space the application of the layers on my face so that the cream have had time to penetrate the skin).Only after I applied the base n ° 1 but only on my zone T: front + nose + chin. It is only in this place where I have brillances, this explains my choice 😉
Where I applied the base, I found myself with small “fluffs” of product very unsightly. I have never encountered this kind of problem before so it’s pretty amazing! So I have to “sweep” my face to finish my makeup. I notice that at the level of the zone T, the base left a sticky film. Good not sticky like a gloss nor glue but it still feels to the touch.I observe all the same that my skin is really well mattified; the result at this level there is immediate!
Now the application of the foundation, I used the Luminous Silk Foundation of Armani with my foundation brush Elf, the one I presented to you in my battle of brushes. The brush always perfect, same for the foundation (thank you Cyrielle! <3) but second disillusion for the base matifiante!
I find myself with “clusters” of foundation, impossible to fade at the level of the nose and chin! Besides I took a beautiful picture on my nose, cannot miss it!
I tried to catch all this on the finger but nothing made! It’s as if the base had instantly frozen the foundation … a disaster…For summary I had already used this base when it was purchased in May. I had obtained the same results. I had thought the result might be due to the summer heat. I had not reused it since.
Having wanted to give him a second chance, I tried again recently but still unsuccessfully on me :(I do not even think you make my traditional for or against because my article speaks for itself!
I have just seen on the site of Sephora that Make up For Ever now markets this base in travel format! If only it had been available in May, already I would have spent less and even if the result had been the same, I would have made less mess!
So this base of Make up For Ever in one word: … Disappointment, unfortunately! She had everything to please me in terms of her promises but they are clearly not kept. The appearance of stuffed products and the foundation “glued” in certain places make the verdict indisputable for me.
I think this is the only time I find myself disappointed with a MUFE product. I would not finish my tube still full and I would not redeem it!

After, the opinions are very mixed on the web … If like me you are looking for dullness, you can always take the travel format but at your own risk!
