After my review on Kiko liners, today we talk about Revlon color burst lacquer balm review. I think you understood that I liked the colors!Well today we are going to stay in the bright colors (but promised no blue or purple to the menu), and that is where the colored balsams for Revlon’s lips come in.
There are 3 categories of balloon pencils at Revlon : –
- Justbitten Kissable (recently renamed Colorbust Balm Stain), satin finish
- Colorbust Lacquer Balm, lacquered finish
- Colorbust Matte Balm, matte finish.
Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm Review
I have long hesitated for this article to integrate either the Just Bitten Kissable or the Colorbust Lacquer Balm (alas, I do not yet have colorbust matte balm). Finally I decided it was more interesting to offer you both at the same time, as long as to do! This will make you more discoveries at once!
I adore the lipsticks, since I bought my 1st Just Bitten Kissable, I immediately preferred these big pencils. I love it made gadget but without the cheap packaging! (I do not know if you follow me: p)I have two hues, the 001 “Honey” a pretty rosewood and the 040 “Rendez-Vous” an orange.
Having unfortunately found no sales outlets to try them near me, I had to rely on swatches on the internet before ordering. It is rather risky to rely on swatches on the internet for lip products (except for opaque products) because the color can vary from person to person according to the natural pigmentation of his lips. I have the lips fairly pigmented so the rendering was different, but fortunately for me, totally appreciated! (a chance !)
These balms are very practical and ideal to slip into a handbag. It is always a point that I appreciate because I like to take some makeup products when I leave my house, always “in case”, that is how the bags of girls are always full of things “Surely” useful one day or the other! (The famous syndrome “you never know”!)Even if the outfit is really very good, it is often necessary to do a retouching during the day, to revive the color.
And yes, these balms have a finite modulable, the more you put more this is seen! It is as if there were “several colors” in one balm, you see ?!Aside from the two colors are very pretty, soft and the finish is satin, perfect for wearing during the day and at work.
Surprisingly, the balm has a minty odor! I personally love it but I know it is not to everyone’s liking, so I prefer to report it to you to avoid any purchase you might regret! The Colorbust Lacquer Balm came out some time later and have created the buzz for the beauty addict. Take a best seller and bring him 1 new lacquered finish what a wise idea from the brand!
I once again opted for two shades, the 120 “Vivacious” a glossy pink shiny and the 150 “Enticing” a dark red.The same minty odor, same packaging (the tube is shiny this time), new lacquered finish, the brand has none the less forgotten that these are balms foremost. They are concentrated in shea butter, coconut and mango, which is why they are also pleasant to wear.
The grape deposits on your lips a brilliant and glossy color dotted with micro-glitter that bring this truly magnificent luminous effect. These two colors are much more visible, I prefer to wear them in the evening or for certain occasions, but nothing prevents you to wear them in the day according to your desires)
And if not, my favorite ?
Well I choose the “Honey” without hesitation because it is the easiest to wear and that the rosewood is one of the colors that best suit me!The Vivacious remains the hardest to wear for me, its flashy color does not go with my pale winter complexion, I prefer to wait for the summer and a tanned complexion to do him “honor”!
What should we retain of these balms ?
- Good pigmentation – Good fit
- Modular finish
- Do not mark dry areas
- Satin colors for just bitten / glossy colors and glossy for lacquer
- Various colors: pink / nude / purple / red
- Very affordable price
Small flats to report :-
- Range of colors restricted compared to the US.
- Difficulty to get in store in France (I specify in France because I know that England is far from the case).
What to say … what to say … well I love them !!! (no … no joke?) Besides, you must have noticed in what state my poor “Honey” is! I already planned to redeem it once finished! And I think it will not be alone in my order since I plan to choose other colors and maybe well for a mat!
