Hello everyone!Today we talk about Smashbox double exposure travel palette review I am more than happy to introduce you the famous Double Exposure palette of Smash box. I love this brand which for some time, offers products of super quality; I have in particular the travel format of the Full Exposure palette (the big sister of it, with nude and warm tones), as well as some brushes. But enough chatted, today I present the Double Exposure palette!
Smashbox Double Exposure Travel Palette Review
On paper, the Double Exposure palette is that:
14 eye shadows that turn into 28 different shades, with just a little water!
For what type of make-up?
This exceptional palette already creates the buzz In the Atlantic: more intense, more sparkling or more metallic, its eye shadows offer infinite possibilities!
How to use it?
For best results, first moisten the brush, then tap it on your hand or absorb the excess water with a cotton wipe. Dip the damp brush into the shadow. A wet brush is more effective than a wet brush.
The pallet is in a beautiful cardboard box (which I keep for each of my pallets, why? Because I find them pretty and that there are some useful info on it, there are excuses as you can, lol). Inside the box we discover the famous palette (still happy) and a leaflet proposing make-up (day, evening, and ideal) according to the shape of our eyes.
But that’s not all, we also find a “card” showing us the colors and their names, as well as the effect they take when moistened. This allows us to have an idea of the result. I appreciate these little details in addition, which allow you to learn new things, new techniques, these are delicate and useful little attentions; which I also retain and which I no longer know or put away!
The palette is quite simple but classy: a hard cardboard case, magnetized with a mirror inside (I confess that I never use these mirrors, but it must be said that it is still practical for the retouching, traveling … and it makes the product classier). The pallet is supplied with a brush, double-end: beveled and round (that we do not see in this picture, I forgot to put it back in).
The pallet consists of 14 blushes, dry, which can be moistened and thus obtain 14 extra makeup. Smash box composed a mixture of renditions:
- – Matte blushes such as black.
- – Satiny / irritated blushes.
- – Metallic ones such as blue and brown.
The palette is quite wide with light colors and others very dark, so we go through colors purple / plum, bluish, pink / peach, brown … not to mention a very light tint and the famous black.
The pigmentation is quite varied: some makeup is very colorful to dry, especially dew / peaches, plums and brown, on the other hand I am very disappointed with the black, whether dry or wet, it “peaches” a little, loll. Compared to the black of the Naked 3 or the Semi-Sweet, it has nothing to do. The make-up is relatively powdery, you must tap your brush before affixing the material, but they hold well.
The flat: they sting the eyes no I did not purposely put the brush in the eye but in the morning, sometimes the alarm clock is rough and makeup all the more, and hop! In the eye! It tickled me but they bite quite a bit. Be more adroit than me.
Double brush brush
The brush has a round toe for dry or wet make-up and a beveled tip to apply make-up to the eyelashes or to eyeliner. The brushes 2 in 1 I find it very practical, it allows to be faster, not to have 50 brushes … they apply the make-up well and also mix very easily. They are soft, useful, practical, and effective and are used dry or wet.
Not really knowing whether I like this palette (indecisive!) I propose you a conclusion in the form of “I like / I do not”. I hope this will not bother you and will guide you for your future purchases.
- – Varied hues (purplish, rosy, brown …) allowing a multitude of looks.
- – It is possible to create many look thanks to very clear colors and others much darker.
- – You can change from 14 to 28 colors with matt, iridescent, satin or metallic shades.
- – The double-ended brush supplied.
- – The booklet tutorial included.
- – The magnetized packaging of the pallet, convenient for storage or transport.
- – The box is made of rigid cardboard, resistant and does not break.
I like less:
- -Some make-up is very powdery and pricks eyes.
- – The lack of pigmentation of the black shadow.
- – Blushes are easier to apply with the supplied brush than another, especially for wet use.
