Islamabad zoo is one of the well known and fine looking place in Islamabad. Islamabad zoo is situated near Pir Sohawa Road, Islamabad, Pakistan. It is one of the foremost popular public park in Islamabad. Islamabad zoo was built in 1978. It soon gained recognition and became an element of the Japanese garden. Islamabad zoo is under the supervision of Capital Development Authority of Pakistan. There are lots of people visit to this place to enjoy the view of various animals. Islamabad Zoo is also having vast attractions for all family members including range of food shops and rides.
Islamabad Zoo is a marvelous and gorgeous picnic place especially for the small Children and that are situated at the bottom of Margalla hills. It is located near the children play land. There are number of animals, birds and range of species which give an extra beauty to this zoo. Visitors can easily view the elegant Margalla hills from here. There are a number of beautiful mammals such as brown bear , leopard, asian elephant, black buse, chinkara, nilgai, urial, plain zebra, moufion, Indian hog dear, chital, Resus macaque, var vet monkey, golden jackal and Indian wolf also found here. In addition too, The Capital Development Authority invented a sketch in August 2008 to promote and enlarge the zoo as recreational and a leisure area and wildlife sanctuary. The expected cost of the project is about 1407.8 million Pakistani rupees.
